Susie McKay Krieser is a Los Angeles based artist and an explorer of the spiritual unknown. She experiments with bold colors to create positive vibrations on canvas in an effort to extend those good feelings beyond her studio for all to enjoy. By getting lost in the mixing and layering of paint she experiences a range of emotions from calm to connection, safety to joy and understands that making art lifts her up and feeds her soul.
It was during her childhood, split between Los Angeles and Mexico City, that she discovered the immense nuance of cultural divides and the limited vocabulary of the spoken word. In reaction to this overwhelm she found solace in shapes, shadows seen in nature, light shining on human skin and the infinite possibilities of mixing colors together.
Her current work plays with multiple lines of colors, sloping canvases, shadows and the push and pull of shifting perspectives within one artwork.
Her work hangs in collections in the US, Mexico, England, France, and at the American Embassy in Lisbon, Portugal. There is a permanent exhibit of 4 of her works of art at the Broad Stage in Santa Monica, CA.
She was Published in the Italian Art Magazines, BIANCOSCURO, and EFFETTO ARTE.
